Biography

Dr. Christopher Johnson, originally from Dothan, AL, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University. He then went on to complete medical school at UAB School of Medicine. While at UAB, he served in multiple leadership positions and was selected by his peers into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his compassionate care. Residency at UAB Huntsville Family Medicine brought Dr. Johnson and his wife, Hannah, to the Rocket City. 

He then spent the next three years being trained extensively in pediatric, obstetric, adult, inpatient, and outpatient medicine at Huntsville Hospital and UAB.  During his final year of residency, Dr. Johnson was selected by his peers as Chief Resident and was awarded “Resident Educator of the Year”.

In his free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys watching sports of all kinds, staying involved with his local church, and spending quality time with his wife and two beautiful girls. A die-hard Auburn fan, he looks forward to spending weekends in the fall cheering on his Tigers.  Dr. Johnson is board certified in Family Medicine and is passionate about preventive medicine and evidence-based care. He is excited to plant roots in this community and serve the wonderful people of Huntsville.
