Biography

Dr. Carter has been married to his high school sweetheart, Trisha Tepool Carter, for 25 years and they have two grown children - Claire and Josh. Claire graduated from Auburn University and now teaches kindergarten. Josh is a junior at Auburn pursuing a degree in finance.

Over the years Dr. Carter has also been involved in numerous community committees and boards. Currently, he serves on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes leadership board and the Crestwood Accountable Care Organization board. He has enjoyed coaching youth sports and being active in his church, First United Methodist of Huntsville.

His hobbies include exercising, golfing, and traveling with his family. Dr. Carter is honored to have provided care for patients in his hometown for over 20 years. He is excited to continue the Gleneagles tradition of providing care to the Huntsville community and he feels blessed to have a great staff and team of nurse practitioners to help accomplish these goals.
